ABOUT THE CACHE
Jang Ka-Tum stands on the Southeast but the meaning of “Ka-Tum” is not quite clear. However, there is an assumption that the name comes from Ka-Tum which is a fish catching. Stood on the lowest land, there was much more water in this corner and was believed to have plenty of fishes. Villagers always brought Ka-Tum to catch fishes at this spot.

ABOUT THE LOCATION
Katam Corner marks the Southeast corner of the moat. The name is believed to have come from an old Lanna word 'Ka-Tum', for catching fish. Because Katam Corner stood on the lowest part of land, mare water gathered here and was considered a prime place to cathc fish. Now you are more likely to see young men simmng in the water here rather than fishing. Enjoy the peace and tranquil setting and take a few moments to imagin this area long ago.

The cache is placed on the wall and requires some walking alomg the water's edge. Please take care if coming in the evening, and ensure children are careful around the edges, as there are no fences or safety barriers. The cache container is small with log only, so please bring a pen.
