THE SERIES
The series contains a number of different cache sizes and containers and therefore you will need to bring your own pen. It may also be advantageous to bring some tweezers. The coordinates have all been averaged a minimum of 3 times so hopefully they are reasonably accurate although in some cases under dense tree cover there may still be some GPS wander. The series is also reasonably child friendly (my kids aged 9 and 6 walked it with no problem).
It is definitely worth bringing OS map Explorer 151 with you as there are places where a little route finding may be required (rather than just following the GPS). There are places where public footpaths through fields are used which may mean that cows, sheep or horses may be in the fields. The caches where livestock may be present are marked in the attributes.
The final cache in the series is a bonus puzzle. You will need to collect 6 numbers from inside the lids of 6 other caches in the series. These will then be used to give the final coordinates to the bonus cache.
You will also need to have a litre of water with you for one of the caches.
THIS CACHE
This cache is a magnetic micro easily accessible (including wheelchair users) from the Forestry Commission car park at Hensol Forest (see waypoint). Upgrades to the car park area have led improved access for buggies and wheelchairs to the forest although it should be noted that the tracks in the forest may be rough.
The cache is placed with kind permission of the Forestry Commission Wales
