This is a Park and Grab. Cache is a small container in a larger screw top container with log only, BYOP. Please cover the cache so it lasts the distance.
Cape Foulwind Cement works has been producing cement since 1958, and has been an important part of the Buller economy and community, it currently employs 120 staff at the plant and quarry. Holcim Cement has announced that it is closing the plant within the next three years. It is going to construct a $100million import terminal and start importing cement into NZ in two or three years The proposed new cement works at Weston, near Oamaru is also on hold for the foreseeable future. It is intended that the plant will be dismantled, which could take several years.
All that left now is a couple of buildings and hopefully a Industrial site
