Bren1467 (and the rest of you) will be looking for a golden ammo can hidden near the summit of the real Hogback Mountain. When this was hidden there was a network of unmapped and unmarked mountain bike/hiking trails. The trails are now mapped and marked: Find trail map here. Bushwhacking can be difficult here so stay on the trails. There will be no need for difficult climbing and no need to be near the edge of any cliffs -- stay on the trail to get to the cache.
Once you've found the cache, you can continue on the trail to the lookout over Route 9. (Please don't attempt this from Route 9 directly. Park at the trailhead and use the trails.) The overlook trail loops back around to the cache zone and you will go back the way you came.
