Discovered these trails by accident one day. While exploring this patch of woodland thinking about cache possibilities, I met up with a neighbor walking her dog on the trail. She proceeded to gush about how much she loves these trails and how the residents nearby call this their Little Slice of Heaven. So the name of the cache was born! Superstorm Sandy did some damage in the area, blocking some of the trails, but one of the neighbors has been working hard to clear the trails. Enjoy this little bit of nature right in the middle of suburban Ramsey!
Best to park on Elbert or Blauvelt and look for the start of the trail where these two roads meet. The trailhead is just to the right of the driveway next to the woods. A large wooden sign that says “Not litter” is found where the trail begins. You might need the coordinates to find your way back quickly too--this little bit of nature seems surprisingly large when you get off the trail. Please replace carefully. Placement is key to camouflage and keeping the cache dry. Enjoy!
