Whizbangs #59 - Canadian by Birth - Whizbang by Choice
Welcome to Whizbang alley!
What is a whizbang? A Whizbang is a fairly popular container in the Louisville, Kentucky and surrounding areas that has recently branched out to the rest of the world. They are typically made from the tops of two soda bottles that have been glued together. They're inexpensive, reliable and easy to produce. And of course, everyone has a different name for them. They've been called top-tops, ziggys, pop bottle micros, and cap caps, among others.
This little series is designed to be quick, fun and get you out off of your couch to enjoy some nature. In the area you may see groundhogs, squirrels, chipmunks, deer, fish and many various birds.
Each cache is designed to be a relatively quick roadside grab. Pay attention to DT ratings and attributes, as these will make your searching easier. Each cache will have a detailed hint if you’re really stuck.
None of the caches in this series have any room for trade items, trackables or a pen, so BYOP. Enjoy, stay safe, and happy caching.
SPECIAL NOTE: This cache is close to railway tracks. There is no need to go near, on or to cross the tracks. For a safe approach, access from the south side of the bridge above, down the well-worn path. As you descend toward the tracks, you will notice wooden bridge supports - there is no need to cross these supports and approach the tracks. The cache is on the south side of the supports, away from the tracks. Please remember to stay safe.
