I can suggest two starting points for the walk to this cache. Both involve a 1 hour round trip country/costal walk.
The way I did it was to park at 54°26.437 -3°31.256 then follow the public footpath (clearly shown on the 303 Whitehaven and Workington 1:25000 explorer map) past middlebank farm, over the footbridge, down the bank of the river Ehen, past the sewage works, under the rail line and onto the beach. This route involves crossing a narrow unguarded footbridge (see photo) which may cause issues for those with small children. The footpath also goes through a cow field but the cows did not seem in the slightest bit interested in me when I went through.
It’s also possible to access the cache by walking down the Cumbria Costal Way beach paths from Braystones station (no cows or bridges).
Obviously there is no need to climb any fences or tresspass on the rail line to find the cache. The cache is NOT hidden on the fence or rail line.
