Globeville became a town in 1891 and was annexed by the city of Denver in 1902. The name came from the Globe smelting plant where most of the residents of Globeville were employed. People first began moving into the comunity in about 1860. Globeville is now cut into quadrants by I25 and I70. The mousetrap is roughly in the center of Globeville.
