In this land of our forefathers, with an ocean on each coast, countless forests, glens and wooded areas for outdoor recreation abound. When haze rolls in, an inevitable change takes place. The earth reels in the sunlight making things harder to see by casting shadows on every rock and on every tree, causing dancing wisps to appear. As Mother Nature’s haze rocks on, a supernatural air appears all around; the mind envisions all sorts of trolls, gnomes, fairies and other woodland entities darting in and out of the now minimal light. She’s even provided a natural soundtrack courtesy of the forest creatures to feed your illusions. If our imagination follows the sounds, not words, we enter the underground realm of fantasy where an inexplicable peacefulness and serenity moves evenly over you, with reeds singing in the winds as its background, like a horse’s neigh to its mate, signifying everything is all right. Once the sunlight returns and the shadow world retreats, you return to reality and can chase the elusive smiley.
