FS 123.13 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

isht kinta: Since the cache owner has not responded to my reviewer log about the cache, nor did they post a note to the cache page telling me and others of their intention to address the issue with it, the cache has been archived.

Some time ago, I posted a note to the cache page requesting the cache owner to post a response on what they were planning to do with the cache. I have no record of a response, and no response tells me that they are not planning on replacing or repairing this cache. If I am wrong with that assumption, please let me know promptly. I can always unarchive the cache for you if needed.

Geocache Description:

Some things to remember when doing these caches:

  • This is the Homochitto National Forest; home to many animals, poisonous snakes, mosquito’s, ticks and chiggers. Please plan accordingly and take precautions.
  • The dirt roads around the area can get muddy, especially after a rain. May not be good for some vehicles. Some roads are single lane, so please be careful if caching in groups.
  • Make sure you have plenty of water and snacks.
  • Carry out what you take in, don’t leave anything behind.
  • The roads can be busy during hunting season, so plan accordingly.
  • We had good cell phone and satellite coverage, your results may vary.
  • Most important of all --> Have fun! <--

The Homochitto National Forest was named for the Homochitto River, a Native American name for the "Big Red River." The area of land around what is now the Homochitto National Forest was strongly influenced by France, England and Spain. The largest nearby city, Natchez, derived its name from the Native American tribe formerly located on the lower Mississippi River.
