Geocache Description:

An easy to access 35mm cache. It should be ok for wheelchairs being on a concrete road. There is a car park about 300m away.

This part of seaford head was used as a tank firing range with targets running along a narrow gauge railway track in the valley to the east. The targets were controlled from the bunker south of the barn (N 50° 45.445 E 000° 07.984), which will be familiar to anyone who has done "Wilson! Can you hear digging". There are quite a few of these concrete roads leading up to the top of the downs, which during the war the British and Canadian troops used as a huge training area.

I was told the GZ is the concrete base for a spigot mortar, i have never been sure about this though. So if someone has some better ideas i'd love to know.
