69 Traditional Cache

Welcome to Cache 69!

The day this cache was placed marked our streak of 69 consecutive days of logging geocaches. We made it to 67 before but life events prevented us from extending that streak. Since we finally beat the former streak, a mini celebration is in order so we place our 14th cache for you to find.

This is a two sided cache.

While not required, we ask if you would please indicate if you opened the side with the log or the side without the log first.

The number 69 has many significant meanings:

Messier 69 (known as M69 or NGC 6637) a globular cluster in the constellation Sagittarius, about 30,000 light years away. It is one of the most metal rich known to exist.

The U.S. Navy aircraft carrier USS Dwight D. Eisenhower is (CVN-69)

Adding up the divisors of 1 through 9 gives 69.

69² (4,761) and 69³ (328,509) use all digits from 0-9.

Many scientific calculator's highest factorial due to memory limitations is 69 (1.711224524×1098.)

The Year 69 (LXIX) was known as the Year of the Consulship of Augustus and Rufinus.
