The JOE Exit cache series was started by altosaxplayer, a member of the Tri-Cities Geocachers.
The name JOE means "Just Off Exit". The series was started as an Interstate 68 equivalent to the "Loop to Loop" and I-81 cache series that was started in Nashville, Tennessee by cgeek.
The JOE caches are always placed near an Interstate exit and the hint is a dead give away to the cache location. JOE caches are an easy way to pick up more cache finds as you take a break while traveling. This cache is meant to be a quick grab for those traveling through the area and a nice fast smiley for locals as well.
This cache is best accessed as you travel West on the Interstate but can be easily grabbed from either direction. This is also a nice place to take a break as there are many very good restaurants nearby.
