Geocache Description:

The cache is located in the Ocala National Forest on an unpaved, forest road.  4x4, high ground clearance truck or 2 feet (hike) suggested.

Sabal etonia, commonly known as the scrub palmetto is a species of palm which is endemic to Florida and southeast Georgia. Interestingly, (especially to the CO, who resides in Eustis) the species was first described by American botanist Walter Tennyson Swingle in 1896, based on collections made near Eustis, Florida in 1894. Watch you step, avoid cuts from sharp stems & enjoy.
