A "Fine Pair" was an idea Heidi Seekers saw down in Sussex. Anyone can add to the series. The rule is that the cache must be near to or involve a red phone box that is within sight of a post box. If you can take a picture with both boxes in it and upload to the cache page when setting then that would be great. Any type of cache can be set, the more variety the better.
Glasfryn is a small village/hamlet situated on the A5 between Cerrig y Drudion and Pentrefoelas. There are 22 houses with 42 people residing here and roughly 90% are Welsh speakers. The lay-by between the village and the garage is one of the highest points on the A5 from Holyhead to London and the view of Snowdonia from that spot on a clear day is breathtaking. To-day there is only a haulage and agricultural contracting company, a garage and a pottery but things were very different in the past when the village had a woollen factory, smithy, mill, cobbler's workshop, post office, shop, school and a puiblic house. Glasfryn is surrounded by agricultural land with some of the farms part of the Voelas estate and others are family farms. There is no place of worship with the nearest chapel in the village of Cefn Brith. although Glasfryn cannot boast any famous people, many influential people in different walks of life were brought up here.
