After planning a hike to Scafell Pike I decided to check out the route and thought it would be a good idea to load in all the geocaches. Imagine my surprise when I noticed the extreme lack of caches around this stunning location. I am not sure why this is? I have decided to place a cache to try and shake off the possible 'cache and dash' stereo typing and place a cache some where truely out doors.
I wild camped near this cache if your visiting this I bet you can't guess where!! This is an ideal spot to shelter to have a bite to eat and take in the spectacular views to be had from both sides of this ridge. As a word of warning to the unexperienced hill walker, you should never go walking this far from civilisation without suitable clothing and equipment. This includes one of those old ancient map thingies and enough knowledge to use it. A note to avoid disappointment--this is a small clip lock container hidden in a fairly obvious pile of rocks. Having said that, obvious once you have found it, amongst all the other obvious piles of rocks!!
