Geocache Description:

Another nice hike along one of the many equestrian trails located within Brighton Recreational Area.

We love hiking all of the trails out here in Brighton Rec Area, but this particular loop is one of the best. I placed another cache here to encourage walking the entire loop. It's about 2 miles, very beautiful, diverse, and peaceful. There are many glacial features to enjoy along the way.

The name of this cache has a dual meaning. There are no actual hunting sheds or cabins out here to the best of my knowledge, but there may be hunters in season. Be careful if you're out here during one of the hunting seasons.

The real meaning of the name comes from my second favorite activity while hiking (right behind caching) - hunting deer antlers that drop off in the spring, a.k.a. sheds. I like to frequent this spot as it's a prime location for big bucks.

Don't try to straight line hike to this one or you'll get very wet and have a tough bushwack to boot. There are two 'entrances' to the site, but you'll have to find them yourself. It shouldn't be difficult, just use some common sense and scout the area a bit.

We hope you enjoy hiking these trails as much as we do. Be on the watch for horses and their equestrians, as well as hunters in season!
