Pete's Perch @ Parvin Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

GuentherGal: I have been perched on the fence for over a year and a half now, not knowing what to do about my caches. This one does not meet current guidelines, and I am unwilling to go out on a limb to comply with the new regulations. The cache has been removed. Thanks to those who have visited.

Geocache Description:

You know that when the end of September rolls around Pete will be coming to Parvin. He and his extended family stay in the cabins for a fun fall weekend. It happens every year; it’s like one of the rules of the universe.

Like most folks, Pete enjoys spending time with his family, but those tiny cabins can get a bit crowded at times. Rumor has it that when Pete needs a break he hops on his bike, goes for a paddle, or takes a walk.

Last year, I was out hiking when I glanced over and happened to see Pete hanging out in the woods near the cabins. He seemed quite content as he watched the wildlife and soaked up the sun from his seat. This year, when my pal Pete goes to visit one of his favorite spots there will be a cache waiting for him.

This cache is located between two trails and will require a short bushwhack. I am not certain if the terrain rating is quite accurate, but as always, you should be aware of you limits and use caution when retrieving a cache. You will need to bring your own pen and no spoilers in your logs!

Please remember that traditional GeoEtiquette would ask that you not seek this until the person being honored has had the opportunity to grab the First To Find.
