Le Bourg-D'Hem is a small village in the Limousin region, with an attractive church up on top of a deep river valley above La Creuse. It's chiefly popular, however, for its man-made lake, created by EDF by flooding La Creuse for the purpose of creating hydro-electric power. The lake and its beach are very popular tourist destinations in the summer months, so this one may be more tricky when the sun's out - although not impossible, as your route will take you away from the sand and into the shadows. Head for the 'Site du Bourg-D'Hem' campsite but park up at the public car park just before you get there, and let your GPS do the rest. Make sure you go down to the water when you've found the cache and take a look at the wonderful scenery!
Le Bourg-D'Hem est un tout petit village dans le Limousin, avec son belle église qui surveille la vallée de la Creuse. C'est pour son lac artificiel pourtant qu'il est mieux connu. Ce lac et sa plage sont tres animés quand le soleil brille, mais la cache n'est pas impossible a trouver aux temps estivaux, parce que vous allez quitter le sable et vous diriger vers les ombres. Dirigez-vous vers le camping 'Site du Bourg-D'Hem', mais stationnez-vous au parking public avant d'y arriver. Assurez-vous d'aller vers l'eau apres le découvert pour s'étonner au merveilleux paysage!
