Three Billy Goats Gruff is a Norwegian fairy tale which was first published between 1841 and 1844. There is no grass left for the the three goats to eat where they live, so they must cross the river to get to the hillside. To do so, they must first cross a bridge, under which lives a fearsome troll who eats anyone who passes that way. After the first two Billy Goats manage to pass over the bridge, the Third Billy Goat, being the largest, easily throws the Toll into the river. The first to find young cacher gets to take the troll with him so that it will never be seen again! Enjoy!
