Geocache Description:

While doing maintenance on our other caches, we found this cool machine! STEALTH Required!!!

Zwavelpoort Series:

A couple of years ago, Team Cabey mounted their bicycles and went on a planting spree in the hidden gem that is the Zwavelpoort (Swallow's Portal) valley. There are beautiful homes on gracious plots, riding schools, a vineyard, a variety of buck and livestock and incredible views. There are now six caches (there were five, but one more was recently added):

Getting there... Drive out on Lynwood Rd to S25 49.665 E28 23.433 and turn onto the Zwavelpoort rd. There will be some dirt-road driving in what another cacher called the "Zwavelpoort Maze" but a sedan with decent clearance should be ok. Don't bring your sportscar with low-profile tyres etc.

We suggest the following sequence:

  1. Fishtank WayPoint
  2. Nimric Windmill
  3. Leaning Wattle
  4. Green Machine
  5. Boulders Gate Clue
  6. Fishtank
  7. Boulders Gate
  8. Protea Perch

#6 Green Machine

While this won't bring an end to global warming, it is a fun memory of yesteryear. Go and look at the machine, spin the wheels, use a camera as your excuse to fool the muggles... FTF Honours go to: Cherokee.za
