The hike up Stellenbosch Mountain is moderately tough, and should not be underestimated. The trail is quite well marked, so no bundu-bashing is required. You can use this trail as your guide when walking up the mountain .
From the parking coordinates, up to the cache, and back is about 6km. The cache is at 916m above sea level (according to Project-GC.com)
Take along enough water, as there are no natural sources of water along the way. Also bring some food along, as it will give you the extra energy needed.
Getting to the cache
From the waypoint "Parking", walk on the edge of the rugby fields to "Trailhead 1". This will be the start of the hike, and it is a single track heading up some stairs. Walk on the jeep track and head for the dam marked as "Reference Point 1". Then walk up the hill to the cross, marked as "Reference Point 2". From the cross continue walking up, going past the cache, Fire in the Hole (GC46HK2). Now turn left and head to "Trailhead 2", staying on the contour path. From “Trailhead 2” you will be walking on a single track path, which will go past a cellphone tower. From here on the path carries on, and eventually you will arrive at the cache.
