This is a puzzle cache. The first coordinates of this cache will get you to the park and to the granite memorial erected to honor our nation’s veterans. On this memorial, there is a date that it was dedicated. You will need to convert the date that is on the memorial to the numerical format of 1/1/1111 (this is the example of how to write the date – do not add a zero before the month or day number).
After converting the date on the memorial to the numerical format of 1/1/1111, convert that number to the numerical format of 11/1111 (basically you’re combining the number for the month and the number for the day into one group while the year portion of the conversion is in another group).
Taking the new format of numbers (11/1111), add the first group of numbers to the following portion of the grid coordinates N43 1.792 and add the second group of numbers to the second set of the coordinates W108 20.976. Remember to put the decimal point in the correct spot!
After adding these numbers together, you will have the coordinates for the geocache location. Do not worry, it is not far away. Travel to the coordinates that you came up with and you will find a hidden micro cache where you will need a pen to sign the log. I hope that you enjoy the cache but more importantly enjoy the park that this cache originates. If you need more understanding of how to convert the numbers, please look at the hint. The hint is for example only and does not apply to the actual date or grid coordinates.
