After a long day of searching for geocaches; placing geocaches; and hiking the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve, was heading home. When I was in the Herington, KS, area checking on one of my caches, suddenly remembered that this location had become available.
Arrived on location and found a likely spot to place a cache. There used to be a cache here once before but was archived for whatever reason. Anyway, be prepared for this spot because overhead cover may affect you GPS - you have been warned.
Devalan Cemetery is just south of the Flint Hills Nature Trail along US Hwy 56 between the towns of Herington/Council Grove, KS.
Cache container that you are searching for is a plastic COIN HOLDER dangling from a tree branch.
Remember that this is a cemetery and please follow any/all rules/regulations that may be posted and that we have all seen on other page write-ups concerning these areas.
