This is one of a series of roadside caches placed along the N6 section 1 between East London and Stutterheim. The caches have all been placed at spots where it is possible to pull well off the road. Please be aware that this is a National Road with fast moving and heavy traffic so keep aware of the risks when retrieving these caches and take special care of children.
When you are relaxing on the beach at the mouth of the Gonubie River you now know where the headwaters of the river lie. If you wish to break your journey you can stop at Kei Road just 2km to your west and, until a few years ago, stay at the enticingly named Hangman's Inn Hotel. It is still listed in the phone book but sadly ...... well, what can one say.
