The Shirley Cemetery is found surrounded by several homes, it sits in the midst of Northwood Lake Subdivision.
One of the burials here was John Lewis Shirley, who served in the Civil War. His support for the cause was reflected in the names of some of his children that included Jefferson Davis, Lee, Alabama, Tennessee, Virginia and Idaho.
