The official unveiling of this statue took place on Sept. 29th @ 3pm which was exactly the time this cache was hidden.
The statue portrays Walter & Phyllis with a young Wayne Gretzky looking up at a larger than life Wayne lifting the Stanley cup while a member of the Edmonton Oilers. Behind & to the side is a concrete wall that is supposed to represent the boards of a hockey rink.
Please enjoy yourself, take & post many pictures but be respectful of the statues please.
To find the final stage of this cache you will need to get a bit of info from this area. Find out how many in ground lights surround the statues, How many panes of glass are on the hockey boards & how many dimples (aprox. 5cm indents) are visible in the concrete hockey boards.
Muhahaha now for the math!
Take the number of dimples plus the sum of the 2 digit number for the lights divide by 1000 & add to the north coordinates posted.
Get ready!!! Take the number of dimples multiply by 10 times the number of panes of glass. Divide the answer in half & add the sum of glass, dimples & lights. Now subtract the number of people in the statues & divide by 1000. Subtract this number to the posted west coordinates.
Yes I realize the math is confusing & yes I realize I'm a big meanie for hiding a micro for the final but I figured that Brantford has more than enough 1.5/1.5 caches. Now suck it up & go get the final.
If the coordinates have you just outside Buffalo do the math again. If it has you about 2km east go find the final.
