Tribute To RALLYMASTER

Rallymaster got her name as she was a rally navigator for many years in the lower mainland. Her late husband raced in the annual Knox Mountain Hill Climb in Kelowna, BC, where Ginger continued to volunteer each year.

She also enjoyed accompanying him at the auto ice races.

Rallymaster lived in Ladner for 30 plus years. She fell in love with the Cariboo and semi-retired to Williams Lake. The caches she placed in Barkerville were due to her husband’s family connections to that area. The Houser home is inside of Barkerville itself.

Rallymaster began geocaching in the fall of 2005, and was on the British Columbia Geocaching Association board of directors during the 2010 season.

She enjoyed many adventuresome road trips with THE WILDTHING’s which included –Half Canadians Halloween events, Barkerville and the back roads, Geowoodstock VIII, Oregon Coast (also the original stash), Gold Country , Island Spirit, 2 Cariboo Corn Maze Events and lots of Events she organized.

Summer 2013 a trip to Bella Coola was planned by Rallymaster for The WildThingy’s. Sadly she was unable to complete this trip as she was diagnosed the week previous with cancer. The trooper that she was she made it to Tatla Lake and had to return home. Three weeks later she passed away.

She will be remembered for her great sense of humour, love of the outdoors, devious cache hides and through the many people whose lives she touched.

This cache was organized by Rallymaster and we have adapted it for our tribute to her.


We are sure she is enjoying geocaching in the GREAT BEYOND !!!!!
