The cache is located in The Wainuiomata Trail Project (WTP) a mountain bike park. There is a range of mountain bike and walking tracks on the hills between Mount Towai and Wainuiomata.
Several tracks have been completed, ranging in difficulty from a beginner track, through to dedicated downhill tracks with challenging drops and other obstacles. Access is from the end of Waiu Street where there is a sizeable car park, with a tap and drinking fountain.
WATCH OUT FOR MOUNTAIN BIKERS BECAUSE THEY RIDE FAST!!
The Cache is located on the easiest track, but please be carefull as it is also used by Mountainbikers as well as walkers, it is a 200ml sistema container & when placed contained a trackable.
You will need to take your own pen/pencil.
