Come join us at Pocahontas State Park, Shelter 2, closest to the aqua center/pool complex, boating areas and restroom, and overlooking Swift Creek Lake, as we celebrate HD JP's 25,000th find! Starting time is 9:30am, for some geochat, hugs, handshakes, and backslaps. 10am or thereafter those who wish can do some caching. BRING YOUR OWN LUNCH, with maybe something to share; those who cache will come back to the Shelter for lunch and more geo-fellowship around noon. (There's a rumor there may be door prizes.) There is an entrance fee to the park, and plenty of parking nearby near the Shelter. Note: Nov 9 is during the Managed Hunt for Archery and Muzzleloaders. Hunting is allowed SOUTH of Beach Road only and does not affect the campground or picnic area. However, please plan your caching day and dress accordingly.
Lastly, a quote by Charles F Kettering: "Keep on going, and the chances are that you will stumble on something, perhaps when you are least expecting it. I never heard of anyone stumbling on something sitting down."
Well, we ALL know Larry spends little or no time sitting down!!
