Geocache Description:

This is #16 in a continuation of the original 12 series of caches in this area called “AAC Cache to Eagle” which highlight Eagle Service Projects by the Boy Scouts of the Alapaha Area Council. The Chehaw Council based in Albany, GA has since merged with the Alapaha Area Council which has now become the South Georgia Council

The Photo highlights the Eagle Project and may or may not include the location of the actual cache, although it will be nearby. Photo courtesy of The Moultrie Observer.

Located in Reed Bingham Sate Park near the Cook County boat landing, Eagle Scout Candidate, Kale Leisey and other members of Troop 440, recently renovated the gazebo. This much needed renovation was at the request of park management and was part of Kale’s Eagle Scout Service Project along with the new landscaping around the gazebo. Like all of the other caches in this series, the hide is meant for beginners and should be easy to locate. Please place back as found to keep this cache muggle free and please be respectful of the new landscaping.

This cache is located in Reed Bingham State Park and a $5 parking fee is required.

Permission for cache placement was given by Suzanne Passmore, Reed Bingham State Park Manager.
