I organise a canicross* running event at Duncarron Medieval village a couple of times a year and have hidden 2 caches along the course of our 5k race.
This one is on "The Hill" our runners towed by their dogs come down this foot trodden path which I am told was an old parish boundry. The views are stunning.
Our first race here we discovered a rickity old bridge and mentioned it to Andy Gallacher the forest ranger, next time I walked the course he had built us a nice new one broad and safe for all runners and walkers to enjoy - thanks Andy.
[Recent forestry work and the bridge is gone but the ditch is filled in - I preferred the bridge :( ]
Someone has built a wee shelter, maybe for birdwatching, using the old narrow bridge as a bench or bed.
The cache is a small clip and lock plastic box with room for small swapables or trackable, please leave exactly where found for the next person.
*Canicross is cross country running with your dog if you are interested visit http://canisportsscotland.com/upcoming-events/ for dates of our next race or informal met
