“My plans are still in embryo; a town on the edge of wishful thinking.”
-Groucho Marx
As a fellow geocacher, I am sure you can relate to my obsession with Google Maps. I found this particular area while perusing a generous area around my home, although my decision on the cache placement was not what initially drew me to the site (more on that in a moment).
This is the site of a homebuilder’s dream gone sideways, which -in of itself- is not that unusual to see these days. When I finally had a chance to visit this location in person, the object that drew my gaze (and, frankly, took my breath away) was this majestic giant resting peacefully on the edge of this forlorn and forgotten property. As most builders have no problem bulldozing over everything in sight, I am amazed and grateful that this beauty was saved.
When you arrive here please take a moment to admire what stands before you, for you will not see many with comparable grandeur here in the suburbs.
If you can, please practice the Geocaching initiative of CITO as, sadly, this site is being used for dumping (which cannot be good for this peaceful giant’s health).
This cache is a 'Park & Grab' and is big enough for a few small trinkets. Before you leave, please ensure the lid is completely sealed and rehide as well or better.
