Max and Hedi Gossweiler emigrated from Switzerland in 1981.
After training as a chef, Max has worked and collected experience in the hotel and restaurant industry. He also worked for a number of years in farming in Switzerland and Canada, including owning a grain farm.
After growing up on a diversified dairy farm, Hedi's love for creative art and fashion took her through The College of Arts and Frauenarbeitschule in Switzerland.
She had other occupations, but was, and still is, strongly involved in the fibre and fashion industry.
Now in Canada, the Gossweilers have four children and own and operate theLone Eagle Motel and Campground since 1983.
In 1997 they bought their first alpacas and the business was named Swiss Line Alpacas. Shorty after the name Alpaca Expressions of Canada was created which presents the fashion part from the alpaca business.
