The cache is located in a popular trail head parking lot in Keene Valley (Home of the High Peaks). It's outside of the High Peaks Wilderness Area (no caches allowed) so this is your chance to also describe your hike and provide photos. There is limited/no cell reception in the area so plan accordingly if geocaching with a phone
Those looking for a hike should consider Rooster Comb - it has one of the nicest, most well-maintained trails in the High Peaks and provides amazing views all the way up the John's Brook valley to Mt. Marcy (highest point in NY). The trail does continue along the Great Range to Mt. Marcy, but you better be prepared and know your limits - the Great Range traverse is not for the once-in-a-while hiker.
