Geocache Description:

Please consider the government's advice regarding COVID-19 before searching for this cache.

This cache is one of 7 caches set along 1.9 miles of The Track, a popular footpath for dog walkers, joggers and walkers that is accessed from two points on the A4129 on the eastern side of Thame. You are looking for a camo small bison tube hanging low down. Please bring your own pen or pencil to enter your username on the logsheet.

It is not known how long The Track has been known by this name, but local people often refer to this path as such. Much of it is a track, whereas the rest is a narrow path. For us it is of interest as when the ‘me’ part of us moved to Thame in 1989, The Track was one of the first walks the family did in the area. The path in the wood can get boggy even in summer with few alternatives, and the youngest member of the family then aged 5 boldly walked into the middle of the bog with her wellies on and managed to leave them behind, stuck in the mud! It was fun trying to re-unite her to them.

Recommended parking is either close to Chinnor RFC for other caches we have placed, or street parking bays the town side of Tythrop Way. Do not use Moorend Lane as shown on maps as this is narrow and regularly used by large commercial and farm vehicles.
