Geocache Description:

The Incinerator cache lives again.

This is the second revival of this cache. The original Incinerator was placed in about 2007 and has been muggled twice. It has now been moved to a (hopefully) lower-traffic area.

The Willoughby Reverbatory Incinerator is an original Walter Burley Griffin creation, one of several which were built around the place before WW2. It was used until the late 60s. Since then it has been a cafe and an art space.

More info is here: http://www.willoughby.nsw.gov.au/community/Facilities/Willoughby-Incinerator/
A thorough history is here: http://www.aicomos.com/wp-content/uploads/2009_UnlovedModern_Connett_Paul_Watter-Burley-_Paper.pdf

You can park right in front of the building, but it's pretty busy in the area after school and on weekends. Tourists can get bus route 273/M40 between Wynyard and Chatswood and get off at the Porsche showroom at Small St and walk 2 minutes. Saturday mornings can be chaos if there is netball at the next-door Willoughby Leisure Centre - you've been warned!

I've added some difficulty to the cache due to muggle presence.
There's a great kids' playground next to the Incinerator, with BBQs and a kids' bike/scooter track with proper lane markings and road signs.

Having seen one Burley Griffin-themed cache, try my other nearby hide "Walter's Jukebox."
