Cloves are the dried flower buds of a tree in the Mytaceae family. They are native to the Maluku Island in Indonesia but are used all over the world. Cloves are mainly harvested in Indonesia, India, Madagascar, Zanzibar, Pakistan and Sri Lanka. The clove tree is an evergreen.
