A straightforward cache to replace the previous multi that was unfortunately damaged during forestry work. A woodland walk, good path. Hopefully an easy find available to all. Suggested Parking at N51.48.087 W002.30.547 which is end of Ruspidge Road.
This cache commemorates some hard times in the Forest of Dean. There are other caches nearby so it is possible to have a good walking day out. This is definitely the place to bring younger children who think they are hard done by with having to do chores at home. Wait till they see this!
It is a nice easy walk and probably suitable for wheelchair users. There is a slight short slope at the start but the path is well made up and it will take about 20 – 25 minutes to find. Go early, go late, go easy and see the deer – possibly the one that crossed the path on the way back.
Park at the given co-ordinates to find the start of the trail, (This is at the End of Ruspidge Road where you will see the gap which goes onto the Blue Rock Trail) then keep on going to N51.47.707 W002.30.306 .
Take a quick peek down the nearby steps that you might come across on your walk.
At the time of placing it contains the usual sorts of things inside a small snap-lock box which is inside a camouflage bag.
PLEASE replace well hidden from view.
