Geocache Description:

Well done to Tchno Nut and HovelJ on the FTF for this cache.

Pigeon Valley Park is a Natural Heritage site (No. 151) which has original coastal climate forest in which many of the forest giants, particularly the Natal elm, survive. A good birding site particularly the Paradise flycatcher, Spotted Thrush, Buffspotted flufftail and African Goshawk. The park also contains Blue Duiker.

Distance: The Natal Elm trail around the park, up one side of the valley and down the other, is 400m long. If you follow the waterway through the open centre of the park and back - and many people prefer to do this in summer when the mosquitoes are biting - the distance is 600m.

Special Information: Mosquitoes can be a nuisance at the height of summer. No dogs allowed in the reserve.

So, bring your sandwich and do some birding while logging this cache!

Opening & Closing Time:
==================
The park is open from 07:30 to 16:00 daily.
