Geocache Description:

18th of the Hidden Houses series taking you to the ruins of the old hamlets of Grwyne Fawr and Ffwddog. The route consists of two loops which can be done separately, or combined into a figure of eight. The Western Grwyne Fawr loop consists of caches 1-9 and is about 1.5 mile long. The Eastern Ffwddog loop consists of caches 10-24 and is about 4 miles long. Most people are reporting tracks of 8 miles including cache searches.

This series takes you to the ruins of the old hamlets of Grwyne Fawr on the western side of the valley and Ffwddog on the Eastern side, with snippets of history contained in each cache. GPS signal can be poor in the valley and under the trees so you may need the hints. The difficulty and terrain ratings are based on the route as a whole but are fairly representative of all caches.

Permission kindly granted by Natural Resources Wales.
