Geocache Description:

35mm container bring a pen. Should be wheelchair accessible.

Many thanks to clunk100 for agreeing to have it added his series of the locations of the various bonfire societies in East Sussex, it compliments the series by Brightonian of the Lewes Societies.

The local Bonfire society, or shags, only got re-established 3 years ago. It had been defunct since the late 70s. They definitely hit the ground running, their first year display had the whole of Martello fields filled with people. Although their stripey jumpers grey and purple jumpers, to the untrained eye look like the smugglers of the other societies they are in fact wreckers. They display around the 3rd weekend of October
