Whenuakite is a small settlement of farmers, orchardists and other life-stylers largely living off the clay soils in the region. The school is the main focal point of the settlement, which is close to the road leading to Cooks Beach, Hot Water Beach and Hahei. Cathedral Cove is a famous tourist attraction near Hahei.
This cache is about 3 metres into private property close to the road, but permission has been granted to lay this cache here. Please do not park on the driveway and take care when pulling off the road. Replace the cache as found so that it is not easily disloged.
