The subject of geocaching is launching off for space once again!
A travel bug has been activated by a 5th grade class of the Chase Elementary School in Waterbury,CT Astronaut Rick Mastracchio visited Chase Elementary School and is going to deliver the TB to the International Space Station for them. Mastracchio will be using the Travel Bug as an educational tool to help teach students around the world about geography and provide other educational lessons. The mission is currently scheduled to launch from Kazakhstan at 4:08 GMT on November 7, That means the launch is planned to liftoff at 5:08 a.m. in Berlin and November 6 at 11:08 p.m. Tampa Bay Time
Event Time: 7pm till when you decide to leave (but for you die hards I will be here till at least 11:08pm to watch the launch on Internet (bringing my laptop) or TV Feed (if there is one).. then the event will be officially over afterwards)
Every geocacher who attends a Geocaching Event on November 6 or 7, 2013 will be awarded a “Geocaching in Space” souvenir per Groundspeak
please in your will attend logs, post how many are attending in your party, just to make sure they have room for all of us. and as always dinner is "Dutch Treat"
