Geocache Description:

THIS IS AN EXTREME CACHE WITH A DIFFERENCE. ATTEMPT THIS CACHE ONLY IF YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY SURE THAT YOU ARE CAPABLE OF DOING IT SAFELY.

Please read the full description before attempting this cache. The location may seem easy on Google earth but don’t be fooled. You should set aside an hour for this cache. You may need a pair of pliers to release the cache container from its secure location. Once you have done this you will need to find and sign the log sheet. I have secured a chain to the rock for extra support while you work at GZ. It should hold about 180kg’s. You can expect to wade in muddy water, rock climb, thorns, ticks and even a snake or two. Please respect them, this is their home. Please make sure the cache is replaced exactly as you found it, properly secured and out of sight. I don’t want to do unnecessary maintenance. There is no pen in the cache so please take your own along with you.

Seeing the cache container is not enough to claim a find. If you don’t sign the log sheet you cannot claim a find. I have put a code on the log sheet. Please email the code to me separately as proof of your find. I don’t want to have to retrieve the container myself to check your signature.

The following would help:-

  • A good pair of gloves. I used welding gloves.
  • Old clothes, you may not want to wear them again after this cache.
  • A beach towel.
  • A waterproof pen.
