This micro cache has been approved by the Orange County Parks and Recreation Division (OCPR). Located on a 110-acre parcel funded by the Florida Communities Trust (FCT) and managed by OCPR, this geocache is located in an upland area being restored to historical conditions by prescribed fire. Look closely for this deceptive cache and then take a short hike to three other cache found off Prairie Lake Trail (red loop). Bring your own pen or pencil!
Parking is available across the street from the 110-acres in Kelly Park. Tell gatehouse staff you are only there to visit the FCT parcel and the entrance fee will be waived (you must park in the lot adjacent to the gatehouse). To enter the FCT property, walk across the street to the concrete pad and you will see the gated front entrance to the right. Follow Prairie Lake Trail (red loop) and enjoy the beautiful Florida scenery and wildlife. The park is open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m. in winter and 8 a.m.- 8 p.m. in summer.
