What would you be doing five hours before blasting off into space?
Get together for coffee and conversation as Rick Mastracchio prepares to lift off headed for the International Space Station. This event starts at 5:30 pm Wednesday evening and will go till about 7:30 pm. Space related costumes are welcomed, although the regular patrons may wonder why!
If you have read the groundspeak news, you’ll know that Rick will be hopping a flight from Kazakhstan at 4:08 GMT on November 7 (that is 11:08 pm November 6th our time) with a travel bug. Utilizing the tb, he hopes to educate students about geography and science and he will also log the ISS cache- GC1BE91. We get an event smiley and a space souvenir for our profiles.
If the launch gets delayed or postponed this event will continue as scheduled. If postponed, another event on the new date may be published.
