This is a small ammo can loaded with some stuffed animals, balloons, United States flag bottle caps, and one of my geocache containers made from soda bottle tops. Most importantly, it contains a geocoin celebrating our tenth cache hide...this one!
Since the mid-70's, I've been riding or driving up and down what we've always called Nolanville Hill. I always thought it was a geographic anomaly with it's cliffs on one side, and long rolling slope on the other. It's almost as if a tall Belton is spilling out into the Nolanville Valley. This is a series of ten caches celebrating it's beauty and for adding some elevation to the otherwise flat Central Texas area.
Most of this series are park and grabs, with two of them being a little tougher. Parking for each cache should be obvious unless there are more details on that particular cache's page, and always choose the side of the road with the widest shoulder. Sometimes that means crossing the road to the cache area, sometimes not, so be careful, especially with the little ones. You could feasibly do it as a two mile hike from either the top down, or the bottom up.. In either case, it's a mile of walking up the big hill! As always around here, please be aware of poison ivy, although it was very minimal when the caches were placed.
Congratulations to SC Giant for the FTF of every cache in this series!
Happy geocaching!
