In experimental sciences, the plus-minus sign indicates the confidence interval or error in a measurement. This is quite true in geocaching. Unfortunately, we are unable to place our caches exactly at the latitude and longitude that we measure therefore we may be off plus or minus so many feet from the posted coordinates. I hope that this one is plus or minus five feet from ground zero.
