Cache of Horrors 2013 Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

mortards: Cache is completely gone. GZ looks pretty beat up as well, maybe all the rain we've had this summer? Given the effort to rebuild and the deterioration of GZ, we're going to archive this one. It's had a good run and we'll open up the space perhaps for a future COH.

How Geocaching Works

Please note Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer.

Geocache Description:

A regular size lock & lock decorated for Halloween. About a tenth of a mile from the parking to the cache. Just about all bushwhacking but from the parking there is minimal sticker bushes, undergrowth or water hazards. Dawn to dusk only please.

This cache is the first of what may be an annual Halloween themed cache. This is a relatively straightforward hide but the cache has been enhanced with various spooky items. Boo!

Our recommended approach would be to start at the listed parking coordinates but do not take the paved trail. There is dirt trail off to the right near the end of the sidewalk. This will take you towards the cache and around the storm sewer creek nearby.

Cache is a regular size lock & lock with plenty of room for most trade items. Cache is closest to the parking coordinates but can be reached from other paths and parking within the park. Park is daylight hours only so please no night caching. Cache was constructed to handle the elements but please be gentle with it so as not to damage the various decorations. The items on the outside of the cache are intended to be permanently attached. You are more than welcome to trade for the items within.
FTF gets an unactivated Count Cacheula trackable!
